The Meteorological Service de Catalunya has sent a warning of danger due to heavy rains that, depending on the area, may accumulate between 50 and 80 mm per hour. The regions in which the rain will be more abundant will be Tarragonès, Garraf, Alt Penedès, Alt Camp and Baix Camp.
Locally strong showers and storms will also reach Castellón , possibly accompanied by hail. The AEMET predicts that, although with less intensity, there could be afternoon rains in other areas of the eastern peninsula, especially in the mountains.
The winds will blow from the north in the northeast of Castilla y León, the upper and middle Ebro, Empordà and Menorca, from the west on the Andalusian coast and from the east in the rest of the Mediterranean area and the Cantabrian coast.
In the Canary Islands the trade winds will predominate and in the rest of the peninsula light winds with strong gusts in storm areas.
